Artist Talk : With Author Rachel McCarthy & Illustrator Pedro De La Cruz
A bit about Rachel: Rachel is a photographer and creative entrepreneur with a passion for storytelling, locals, and travel—alongside a deep love for beautiful objects, vintage finds, and interior design. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, she began her career photographing weddings before moving to Paris to study photography at the Paris College of Art. Now based in the south of France and fluent in French, she has spent the past nine years building a life and creative practice between California and France. Film photography sits at the center of her work.
A bit about Pedro: From his first box of crayons to a prolific studio in Santa Barbara's Funk Zone — Pedro De La Cruz has always let color lead the way. His vibrant, post-modernist work is inspired by community, music, the sea, and yes… a really good cup of coffee. Come meet the artist behind the canvas.
