Originally, Manon Bucciarelli made a name for herself designing book covers. Her mastery of lettering and her striking illustrations have been featured by publishers such as Belin, GrΓΌnd, Charleston, Anne CarriΓ¨re, and 10/18. But where her work truly captivated us was when the designer became a childrenβs book author at Gallimard Jeunesse. In Ceci n'est pas une chaussure, the illustrator presents a multitude of everyday objects that seem to come to life, chatting among themselves to reflect the world and its diversity. Her bold colors, dynamic line work, and beautifully instructive compositions perfectly align with her collectorβs eye spark a new obsession in us as well.
